In-Depth Review
I’ve been gaming for a while now, and when I decided to upgrade my headset, I came across the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro. Right off the bat, I have to say, it felt like a significant step up from my old wired set. I’m in my mid-30s, and my gaming habits have changed a lot; I often switch between my PS5, Xbox, and PC, so a good wireless headset was a must.
The first impression when unboxing was pretty positive. It had a sleek black design that felt premium and professional, not too flashy but definitely stylish. The earcups were well-padded, which hinted at comfort for long gaming sessions. I couldn’t wait to give them a spin.
Upon wearing them, I felt the snug fit, which I appreciated. They were not too tight but had enough grip so they wouldn’t fall off during intense gaming. The memory foam cushions felt great against my ears. I wore them for hours, and they didn’t hurt at all. That’s crucial for me since gaming sessions can stretch into the late hours.
When it came to performance, the 50mm drivers delivered impressive sound quality. The sound isolation was top-notch as well, which was a welcome change in my noisy household. The audio clarity really shone, helping to pinpoint enemy movements and in-game dialogue clearly. Playing a horror game, I even jumped a couple of times because I could hear footsteps behind me so well.
Battery life is another impressive feature. I didn’t track the exact hours, but Razer claims around 70 hours. I’ve definitely put in some long sessions and was surprised to find they still had juice left. The USB-C charging was also a breeze, and the wireless dongle connected seamlessly with all my devices.
One of the standout aspects is the super wideband mic. It was clear and crisp without requiring me to shout. My teammates noticed the improvement in my voice quality compared to my previous headset. It’s detachable, which is great for when I just want to use the headset for music or movies without it getting in the way.
Now, while I’ve been mostly satisfied, it’s important to mention a couple of drawbacks. The initial setup could hit a snag if you are not tech-savvy, and I did have to fiddle with some settings to get it right on my PC. Also, while the design is sleek, it might not be for everyone, especially if you prefer something more colorful or flashy.
In terms of who these headphones would suit best, I’d say they are perfect for dedicated gamers across various platforms. Whether you’re a casual player or a hardcore gamer, these can enhance your overall experience. I also think they’re suitable for anyone who takes calls or video chats, given the excellent mic quality.
In summary, there are pros and cons like with any product. The pros include superior sound quality, amazing comfort, long battery life, and a solid mic — definitely worth it. The cons mainly revolve around the initial connectivity adjustment and the somewhat understated design that might not appeal to everyone.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro to anyone looking for a high-quality wireless gaming headset that checks all the essential boxes. I’m glad I made the purchase and look forward to many more late-night gaming sessions.

Great all around headset!
As a audiophile I wasn’t sure what to expect especially after doing research and reading so many varied reviews so here my honest opinion from various use (mostly music and for work/phone calls all day).Arrived fully charged and was super easy to setup.Just know they are “only” wireless and no backup 3.5mm or USB audio connection (can only charge and no audio connection which is a flaw in my opinion). They are very nice quality and pretty much resemble airline/cockpit cans/headsets, lol. They don’t save your height/adjustments but are on smooth arms along each side and very easy to adjust.I wouldn’t say they are light nor heavy either so a very good balance. Maybe a bit tight grip over the ears but not enough to be a bother. So you are able to wear them all day for work, like I do, and are very comfortable. The mic is one of the best there is (it’s between these and the Beyerdynamic MMX300), and just great quality. As for audio quality they are good but not great (the Beyerdynamic ones are way better but missing crucial feature like the app/eq control). They have good top end and highs but seriously lacking in the lows (as expected with Bluetooth/wireless only connections) so just know that going into it.And one of their best features is the app/software and being able to fine tune both the listening eq as well as the mic eq, adjust the volume of hearing yourself in the mix, and see status/battery levels…All of which are missing from others that might have better audio quality but missing all of those extra features (looking at you Beyerdynamic, lol).So if you don’t need high resolution/high fidelity then these are just about the best there is right now.

Very comfortable
Great headphones, very comfortable, decent noise reduction, the removable mic doesn’t seem to pick up every noise in the room. Can wear for an extended game session and not get a headache. Can wear with glasses and not have any discomfort. This is actually my second pair, so I have a pair in my office and the family room. Keeps a charge.

Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Xbox Gaming Headset Durability 👍
Possibly one of the best I’ve used. Audio quality is acceptable but the reason we picked Razer was for durability and some degree of comfort. It’s early days, but the durability is definitely apparent and Re: comfort- sometimes the only reminder that we’re wearing the headset is the occasional ‘low battery’ warning 😂

Worst Experience Ever
I got this headset in June on 2024. I loved using it, the sound quality and mic where great. Here comes where the 1 star comes from, if your looking for a long lasting headset, then this isn’t the product for you. I only owned this headset for 8 months until out of no where the plastic parts that hold the screws into the piece that connects the headphones to the headband broke. sending pieces of plastic all over my room. You may be asking what did I do to cause this kind of thing to happen. Well I took the headset off my head like any normal person would. If you think that is crazy and shouldn’t have happened, well so did I.This is where I had the worst interaction with customer support I have ever had. Right from the start the person on the other end is saying that it is my fault that the internal plastic that holds the screw together broke and that this isn’t covered under the warranty. Keep in mind that I have never thrown or hit this headset as I paid good money on this. I have never been so disrespected by not 1 but 2 separate people in customer support. I have shown friends this and explained it exactly how this is written and well every last one of them said this couldn’t be “user induced”.TDLR;If you want a headset that costs $200 that will only last 8 months and then be disrespected by the Razer Customer Support Team, then by this headset. Otherwise go look at some other options.

Good device for the price
Great value for your money love the colors that come from the side of it. Noise cancellation is pretty good. I use it on calls that said it’s a little durable, but don’t drop it off your head or fall out of your chair.

Great headset for this price point
This Blackshark replaces a comparable SteelSeries headset that wouldn’t give me enough sidetone. (mic monitor) Generous mic monitor on this one and a much better build.

EXCELLENT headset, broadcast quality mic!The PS version has the EQ app on your smartphone, so you don’t have to worry about having Razer software (or Windows) installed. Works amazing on linux!Way more comfortable than the newer V3X headset (last gen premium vs new gen mid-range).Sound quality is excellentSaves EQ to headset from android app!

Just as the title says, the mic is amazing and the overall sound is great! I’ve been using these for a month now and I’m blown away by the battery life. I think I’ve charged them twice. The software is a little finicky, but with a little patience it’s easy to figure out and get your settings the way you want them. Software aside, the headphones themselves are BANG ON!! My friends noticed a HUGE improvement with the mic over my previous headset, which was an Astro A50.

When I buy a headset I’m often scared it won’t last the test of time. I have had this Headset for a year and it’s like the day I bought it. The earmuffs are perfect. It’s easily adjustable for any size head. The sound quality it’s great. The microphone is good. The only thing I wish you could do is adjust the EQ by connecting the headset to Bluetooth on a phone. The only was the EQ is adjustable is by going on a PC and adjusting it through the Razer browser. Other than that is a great high quality headset. Highly recommend.
