611 Freezer Basket Retainer 7009399 replacement for Sub Zero and subzero parts 5029 611, 650, BI-30U, BI-36U – 4 Pack
In-Depth Review
I recently picked up the 611 Freezer Basket Retainer to replace some worn-out parts in my Sub Zero freezer. Honestly, I was a bit apprehensive at first, thinking it might not fit perfectly, but I was reassured by the product description. After using these retainers for a few weeks now, I’ve got some thoughts to share.
Right out of the gate, I was pleasantly surprised at how lightweight the retainers were. For something that’s primarily plastic, I almost expected it to feel flimsy, but they’ve got a nice sturdy feel. The packaging was simple but did the job of protecting the pieces during shipping.
When I first laid eyes on the retainers, I appreciated the clean lines and simple design. It’s clear these are meant to blend right in with my existing freezer setup rather than stand out or draw attention. They fit well within the compartments, and I had no trouble installing them at all. Just to clarify, I didn’t need any special tools—literally just a simple click into place.
In terms of performance, these retainers did precisely what they advertised: they keep the baskets in my freezer securely in place, preventing them from falling out when I pull them out to grab something. I can’t tell you how annoying it was when I’d pull on a basket and it would come out too easily. Now, I can yank them out confidently without the fear of a mess.
If you’ve got a Sub Zero freezer, I really think these are a solid option. They might not be the most exciting purchase, but the peace of mind they provide during daily use is invaluable. I don’t think I’d recommend them for non-Sub Zero freezers, as I can’t guarantee they’ll fit well or function the same way.
On the whole, the pros outweigh the cons significantly for this product. A major plus is that they’re straightforward to install and fit like a glove in my freezer. They also have a decent durability, showing no signs of wear even after frequent use. The one downside? It’d be nice if they came in more vibrant colors, but that’s just me wanting to spruce things up a bit.
In summary, if you’re looking for a reliable freezer basket retainer, the 611 Freezer Basket Retainer 7009399 does the job well.

Perfect fit for Subzero freezer basket holder
This was exactly what I needed and a tremendous cost savings versus the dealer’s ridicolous price and long delivery

This is plan B to fix my Frigidaire shelf
This broken shelf has been plaguing me for a while. It can’t handle the weight of 3 gallons of milk, the teenage horde in my house require. Plan A was buying and installing the correct replacement parts from Frigidaire to repair it. Those parts lasted 2 days before they started to slip out like the first set. So I need to do something different. Hence these basket retainers from a completely different brand.I have not had time yet to try installing them in my fridge, because it will be an all day project. But once I do, I will update my review with the results. But I might still need to go on to plan C ( Hard as nails glue on original parts) or D (install a piece of wood by screwing it to the inside of the fridge) to fix this. Wish me luck.* Contains 4 basket retainers.* These screw into your fridge/freezer to hold the baskets.* Are made of a thick plastic that feels strong.

Perfect fit on my SubZero 650, not difficult to install
This set of four basket retainers were a perfect fit. Two of the original retainers had broken after 12 years of service, and while this did not cause any loss of food or unplanned defrosting, I wanted to replace the broken parts to avoid future problems. The new parts were easy enough to replace, but the package of new parts did not include the hex nut to fasten onto the rails of the freezer compartment. The old parts did have the correct nuts, so no real problem. These nuts required a 3/8″ open-end or box wrench to remove and replace the new parts, and removing the drawer makes this much easier; however, a complication was that the freezer drawer had plastic clamps at the four corners, which I needed to remove in order to attach the new retainers. One of these clamps is shown on the attached photo. These clamps were screwed on very tightly, so required a philips screwdriver and some muscle to remove and replace them.

PERFECT REPLACEMENT PARTS! Just Like OEM / Definitely RECOMMENDED!
These are perfect replacement parts of the sub zero lower freezer basket retainer clips! They installed a little bit more snugly than the OEM version, but not so much as to cause any real problem. These are working great for me & are definitely RECOMMENDED!

Great replacement for SubZero
I wish I had found these before! I’ve had to have these replaced twice by SubZero which costs a fortune! Easy to install and work just fine!

These fit perfectly into our subzero freezer, but broke (plastic sheared off the screw part) within a week of installation.
