In-Depth Review

As a guy in my mid-30s, I’ve had the pleasure of using the GreenPan Elite 14-in-1 Electric Slow Cooker for a few months now, and I thought it was high time to share my thoughts. Initially, I was on the lookout for a multi-cooker that wouldn’t just sit on my kitchen counter collecting dust, and this model caught my eye. I was drawn to its sleek design and the promise of versatility.

First impressions were certainly positive. The very first time I unboxed it, I was struck by its modern look—a clean black finish, shiny stainless steel accents, and a nice digital display that didn’t scream “cheap.” It felt like a premium product right out of the box, which is always a good sign.

Moving on to build quality and design, this cooker feels solid. The ceramic nonstick interior is a game changer. It’s PFA-free, which is a nice touch. The removable crock is easy to handle, and the silicone handles are comfortable without getting too hot. I especially appreciated the dishwasher-safe lid, which made cleanup a breeze. The size is also perfect; being a 6-quart, it handles everything from weeknight dinners to larger gatherings without a hitch.

Now, let’s talk about performance and daily use. This machine has proven its worth over multiple cooking experiments. From slow-cooked pulled pork to quick soups, it excels at everything. The cooking functions range from steaming to sautéing, and the in-pot browning feature has been a lifesaver. I’ve used it practically almost every weekend, and I can say that cooking feels less like a chore and more like an enjoyable experience. One downside I noticed is that the unit tends to get a bit hot around the edges, so it’s best placed where you won’t accidentally touch it while it’s cooking.

So, who is this cooker best for? Honestly, whether you’re a beginner just starting out or a seasoned home chef, it can fit into your life seamlessly. People with busy schedules but who still appreciate home-cooked meals will find tremendous value in it. Plus, for families, the 6-quart size is fantastic; you can whip up meals big enough to feed everyone without needing to double recipes.

Now, let’s break down some pros and cons. On the positive side, the GreenPan Elite is easy to use and clean, the cooking options are nutritional and functional, and it’s environmentally friendly thanks to its PFAS-free nonstick surface. However, the critically hot edges can be a turn-off for some, and I wish the instruction manual had included more recipes to help beginners get started. Another minor gripe is that it can be a bit bulky for those with limited counter space, but that’s something I can overlook considering how versatile it is.

In conclusion, my experience with the GreenPan Elite 14-in-1 Electric Slow Cooker has been overwhelmingly positive. It has transformed my cooking routine into something I look forward to. For someone like me who juggles work and personal life, this appliance really takes the stress out of meal prep. If you’re looking for a reliable, feature-rich slow cooker that respects your health and the environment, I’d recommend giving this one a shot.

    Best Slow Cooker
This crockpot does it all! From low to hi slow cook, roast, simmer, keep warm, steam, reheat. Love being able to sear/brown in the same pan. Light weight and super easy to clean verses a crock style. Easy to adjust between programs, time and temperature. Safe materials. Everything has turned out delicious! High praises to this piece of cookware.

Works well, super easy to clean
We got one of these to replace an instant pot that, while more versatile, didn’t work very well as just a slow cooker. While the Instant Pot could also function as a pressure cooker, its low heat setting wasn’t adequate for getting good results as a slow cooker. This one is just a dedicated slow cooker that has worked great for things like soups, stews, chilis, etc. And it has a higher heat function available to braise the meat or vegetables in the same pot before adding the stock and the rest of the ingredients. This is super convenient and makes it much more of a one-pot solution than some of the cheaper options. It has some lengthy timed heat options, is simple and easy to use, looks and feels great with high perceived quality, and everything has come out really well in it so far.And as you’d expect from Greenpan, the highlight of this product is the ceramic crock pot itself. It’s removable for super easy cleaning, and it acts as non stick as any Teflon coating. I think it may be dishwasher safe, though we hand wash this, since it’s so easy and quick to do so. I don’t know if you can get just the crock replaced if it’s broken or worn, so it would be wise to be gentle with it to ensure a long usable life.Overall, this thing is big and heavy, but it’s been great. Worth the extra dough over the cheap budget ones, IMHO. AAA+++

    This is awesome!
I was a bit afraid I would not use it sense it was smaller then I was hoping, but I was wrong. I made beef stew in it, and it was great to be able to fry the meat and make the stew by just using this one appliance. I love the non stick feature, as it makes clean-up easy! I also love how quickly it heats up. I made soup in it and it boiled and cooked my veggies rapidly! Couldn’t be happier!

    GreenPan Wish
While I have the GreenPan electric skillet and love it, the one thing it lacks is a slow cooker. I wish GreenPan made the slow cooker look/size that included the electric skillet with dials instead of all buttons. At 77 years old, the dials are more convenient with the LCD screen. I love the quality of the insert pans, the cleanup and look of the appliance, just wish I had all the features for these two products in one. GreenPan is the best out there for my budget. Maybe at some point they will make an all in one the size of the Slow Cooker with dials. As far as the electric skillet, I do use it regularly and love it. As for a slow cooker, looking for one with dials knowing I will have to replace the inner pot as it scratches……bummer

  5. Irelyn

    Great size. Works well
Item as described. Packed securely. Shipped quickly. Arrived safely. Works really well. I have made chocolates and baby back ribs, so far. Thanks

  6. Jessica

    good crockpot option!
pretty happy with this crockpot as it is multi use and will allow me to get rid of a few of my other appliances. The inner bowl area is a little bit smaller than your typical crockpot brand crockpot. I noticed the first time I cooked on it I had to cook my meat a little bit longer than I normally would with a regular crockpot. Super easy to clean and hundred percent nonstick! It is a bit larger of an appliance as well, so make sure you have some space to store it

    Awesome slow cooker !!
Cooked an amazing first meal in it … a sirloin roast with vegetables !! It worked perfectly !!

  8. Himothy

Not acceptable like listing said. Not even close
This was not in acceptable condition. First of all when we went to pick the box up we could see severe damage to the corners, a hole in the side and the lid was help on by a thread of tap. The slow cooker is dented all the way around, which we were willing to over look until we inspected the bottom. The bottom piece is cracked and separated from the slow cooker. And to put the cherry on top, I was like ehh lets just see how it works….. and nothing, no power no nothing. What a experience !

  9. Amazon Customer

I purchased this expensive appliance with the hopes it would be a top of the line appliance. Didn’t take long and the labels on the button all washed off. Then liquid splashed from the liner down into the bottom and it won’t work. Keeps kicking a code. Lesson learned. Big waste of money
