In-Depth Review
Buying the Traeger Woodridge Electric Wood Pellet Grill was a bit of a leap for me. As an average guy in my mid-30s who enjoys the occasional BBQ, I was really eager to step up my grilling game. After doing a little research and reading some reviews, I decided to take the plunge, and I’m here to talk about my experience with it.
Right off the bat, my first impression was how sleek and modern this grill looks. The black alloy steel body gives it a strong, durable appearance, and the size is impressive. It’s not overly bulky but definitely commands attention on the patio. Setting it up was pretty straightforward, and I appreciate that the instructions were clear, which isn’t always the case with large appliances.
The build quality feels solid. Each part seems well-constructed, and you can tell Traeger took care in designing this grill. The assembly took me about an hour, and once it was set up, it felt pretty stable. All the moving parts functioned nicely, and it doesn’t feel flimsy at all, which is a good sign for long-term use.
Now, let’s talk about performance. This grill has an impressive 860 square inches of cooking space, which is fantastic for someone who loves to cook for friends and family. I was initially a bit intimidated by the Wi-Fi temperature control feature, but I found it surprisingly easy to use. I could monitor the grill’s temperature right from my smartphone, which is a game changer for someone who doesn’t want to keep running back and forth. The grilling and smoking capabilities are excellent; I’ve prepared everything from ribs to veggies. Each dish turned out flavorful and juicy, and I’ve had a lot of compliments on the taste. I must admit, cooking with wood pellets gives a nice touch and adds a depth of flavor that charcoal simply can’t match.
However, there have been a few downsides. First off, the grill takes a bit longer to heat up compared to traditional gas grills. I usually preheat it for about 15-20 minutes before I start cooking, which is fine but something to keep in mind if you’re in a rush. Also, while cleaning is relatively easy with the removable grease tray, it’s still a bit more effort compared to gas grills.
Overall, I think the Traeger Woodridge is a great product for anyone who is serious about grilling and wants to explore smoking. If you are either a beginner looking to get into grilling or an experienced grill master wanting to expand your cooking range, you’ll likely find value in this model. Friends who dabble in BBQ would appreciate the versatility of this grill, and those who enjoy hosting will find the space and temperature control a huge advantage.
In terms of pros: the wood flavor is unbeatable, ease of use thanks to the Wi-Fi feature, and ample cooking space make it a winner. As for cons, it can take a bit longer to heat up, and cleaning demands a touch more effort than other types of grills.
To wrap things up, I’m really happy with the Traeger Woodridge Wood Pellet Grill. It’s delivered on flavor, capacity, and ease of use. Yes, there are a few quirks, but if you enjoy outdoor cooking, this can certainly elevate your grilling experience. I’d recommend it to any backyard chef looking to experiment with their cooking.

Awesome product!

Worth it if for no other reason than consistency and ease of use
Consistent smoke, set and forget. Took a little longer to setup than anticipated, but the consistent flavor of smoke is worth it. Functionally, so much room for activities! lolThe hopper design is also clever. It doubles as a work surface. Anyone can cook with this!Pictured are chicken thighs and boudin, brisket, and pork spare ribs.

I would buy again.
I love this thing. Easy to use? Easy to clean. Doesn’t burn fuel like crazy if you’re smoking. I couldn’t get the Bluetooth to work, but that is probably a me thing.

Happy
I bought this for my husband. He has always wanted one. It was alot of money but I guess its worth it. We’ve cooked on it one time so far and everything was perfect. Happy with my purchase so far. We even bought a cover to go over it. It’s too expensive not to protect it.

Traeger’s New Grill Model Works Great
I have had 3 cooks in this grill and think it is far superior to the Traeger Pro 22 that I had previously. It has a larger and more usable grill area, it has a larger pellet box, it connects with the Traeger app via wifi so I can monitor temperatures and make adjustments remotely, and it is easier to clean. I love that it goes to 500 degrees. It appears very well made and is extremely heavy to wheel out of my garage. It has a lot of pieces to assemble, but others indicated if possible to assemble yourself to make sure it’s put together correctly. It came with 1 wired probe so I purchased one more separately. While the reliance on the electronics makes me nervous, so far it has met my expectations and I would purchase again at a $800 or lower price point.
